I read a news article about a Philippine company that makes bicycle frames made out of bamboo and had to check 'em out. They do make good looking bikes I should say, the news article said a mountain bike costs almost $500. Wishing them success in their endeavor! Check out Kawayan Tech's website here.

TufRack

TufRacks make bicycle racks that look err... tough. I found an ad of theirs and followed it to their site only to see some of the bikes in their stable and I liked it :D Pics came from their site.

Western Flyer

I also love classic bikes and one of the great sites for learning about/ogling at these classic bikes is nostalgic.net. One of the bikes that made me swoon so bad from that site is a restored Western Flyer bike. Shiny!

Peru critical mass ride ... in the flesh

300 to 500 cyclists took to the streets in Lima, Peru to bring attention to the safety conditions on the roads. They decided that the best way to do this was to ride around the streets on their bikes ... naked. Pic came from this BBC news article.

The Sartorialist is another good source for great pics of people on bikes. This guy's got a lot of stuff going his way for him to be able to enjoy his ride to work (presumably, i hope he didn't go to all that effort to get dressed to go to McDonalds). There's the good weather and bike friendly streets to help him enjoy his ride.
